Yet the language is no spring chicken: it was released as early as 1991. It is functional, aspect-oriented and object-oriented. In addition, the open source language offers dynamic typing. Its developer, Guido van Rossum, had placed great emphasis during development on ensuring that the programming language would be as simple and clear as possible. He undoubtedly succeeded in this endeavor: It is considered to be a good introductory language for beginners because of its clarity.
