Registration<\/h3>\n<p>To create your account, <a href=\"https:\/\/app.seven.io\/signup\" rel=\"noopener\">register in our webapp<\/a>. We need your full name and email address for this. We also recommend that you <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/two-factor-authentication-2fa\" rel=\"noopener\">set up two-factor authentication<\/a>\u00a0for added security\u00a0after you register.<\/p>\n<p>By registering, you will get your own account. Please note that you do not pay a basic fee, nor is there a minimum contract term for just using our SMS feature. You only pay for what you actually use. If you use <a href=\"\/en\/products\/inbound-sms\/\">your own inbound number<\/a>, regular charges will apply.\u00a0After registration, your account will receive a test credit of 0.50 \u20ac.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_small color_alternate\" id=\"setting-up-account\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_middle type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3>2. Setting up your account<\/h3>\n<p>Once you have registered, the next thing you should do is set up your account. This includes completing your data, but also setting up the features you want to use. While this is the most time-consuming of the first steps, you will only need to interact with most of these settings once.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_small color_alternate\" id=\"billing-address\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_middle type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-8 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h4>2.1 Specify billing address<\/h4>\n<p>First of all, it is necessary that you <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/change-billing-address\" rel=\"noopener\">specify your company&#8217;s address<\/a>.\u00a0The deposited address will be used on your billing statement, which will be sent to your email address.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish, you can also <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/specify-accounting-mail-address-for-billing\" rel=\"noopener\">provide an additional email address<\/a> to which the email with your invoice will also be sent. Your members do not need to have created their own accounts beforehand, you simply invite them via their respective email addresses. Members can be assigned different roles, each with different access permissions. Possible roles are: Administrator, Developer, Finance and Messaging.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_small color_alternate\" id=\"api-keys\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_middle type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h4>2.3 Optional in some circumstances: Create API key(s)<\/h4>\n<p>If you want to integrate our SMS dispatch into a third party or your own software or use it via our HTTP API, you first need to <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/api-key-access\" rel=\"noopener\">create an API key<\/a> in the webapp under the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.seven.io\/developer\" rel=\"noopener\">Developer<\/a> menu item. You can also create multiple API keys in the same place, even for use in a sandbox environment. We recommend that you use an API key with at least 64 characters, if your system allows this many characters.<\/p>\n<p>If you need information on how to use our HTTP API, please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.seven.io\/en\/rest-api\/first-steps\" rel=\"noopener\">corresponding documentation<\/a> for more details. You can also import contact lists and customize the fields of a contact as you like. You can find an example in our Youtube video, which is in German, but you can activate English subtitles:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mhNaSwNYaN4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Import contacts and use custom fields<\/a>. You&#8217;ll also find it useful to create <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/de\/gruppen\" rel=\"noopener\">groups<\/a> for sending bulk SMS.<\/p>\n<p>If you are sending SMS from another application, it may be possible that you do not need to create your contacts separately. However, this is usually only the case in those applications for which we have developed a plugin so that contact data can be sent directly from the application.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_small color_alternate\" id=\"sender-name\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_middle type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h4>2.5 Optional: Set a default sender name (Sender ID)<\/h4>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to, you can set up an individual sender name that will be displayed on the receiving phones when you send an SMS. You can specify up to eleven alphanumeric characters or up to 16 digits here. If you compose your SMS in the webapp, you can change your sender name in the same window in the <strong>Sender ID<\/strong> field. However, you can also <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/set-sender-id\" rel=\"noopener\">set a default sender name<\/a> that will always be used if you do not specify one separately.\u00a0If you use our service from another software, you can usually specify a sender name there as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note: Your recipients can only reply to SMS messages if you enter your number as the sender. It is not possible to receive\u00a0replies to alphanumeric senders. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_small\" id=\"top-up-payments\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_middle type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3>3. Top up account and set up payments<\/h3>\n<p>Before you send your first bulk SMS, you usually need enough credit. This is why you need to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/top-up-your-account\" rel=\"noopener\">top up your credit.<\/a> Set up an <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/top-up-your-account#automatic-top-up\" rel=\"noopener\">automatic top-up<\/a> right away if you would like to. You can also set up an automatic top-up for any <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/de\/subaccounts\" rel=\"noopener\">subaccounts<\/a> you may be using. Sending the first (bulk) SMS<\/h3>\n<p>Before you send bulk SMS for the first time, you should <a href=\"https:\/\/seven.io\/en\/products\/number-validation\/\" rel=\"noopener\">validate all numbers of your contacts once<\/a>. This way you make sure that there are no invalid numbers in your contacts, which would only unnecessarily increase the costs for your SMS dispatch.<\/p>\n<p>In the following paragraph we show you how to send SMS via our webapp. For <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.seven.io\/en\/rest-api\/first-steps\" data-schema-attribute=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">SMS sending via HTTP API<\/a> please have a look at our documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Under the left menu item <a href=\"https:\/\/app.seven.io\/sms\" rel=\"noopener\">New SMS<\/a>\u00a0you can now compose your first SMS. In the lower right field next to the text field you can always see how long your SMS is and what costs you can expect.<\/p>\n<p>Your default sender name will be displayed automatically. In the <strong>Recipient<\/strong> field you can select the group you want to send your bulk SMS to. The use of <a href=\"https:\/\/help.seven.io\/en\/personalized-sms\" rel=\"noopener\">placeholders<\/a> allows you to customize your SMS to the people you are addressing.
